Project Location:
The aquisitions from 5 properties, Quintana-Leon, Two Rivers, Kincaid, Bjorgen, and Kasparek Properties, will protect 308 acres of floodplain and nearly 2.5 of prime White River riparian habitat.

Project Description/Purpose:
The White River is one of the most productive spawning and rearing areas in the Upper Columbia Region for endangered Spring Chinook, endangered steelhead, threatened bull trout and it supports the largest sockeye run in the Columbia Basin. The purpose of the effort to protect the White River Floodplain is to to protect the river from development that would limit channel migration, reduce the function of the floodplain, and degrade productive salmonid habitat.
