The project site is located in the lower Entiat River between RM 3.7 and
4.1.
Project
Description/Purpose:
The Harrison Side
Channel project will reconnect a relic channel and provide access to the
floodplain by removing a levee and installing a barb in the mainstem
Entiat River to provide perennial flow to the project site. This project
will provide approximately 20,625 square feet of perennial high quality
habitat and provide up to 6,900 square feet of habitat during high
flows.
This project will increase juvenile salmon and
steelhead rearing and steelhead spawning habitat. Floodplain function
will also be restored.
