Project Location:
The project area are within two general locations within the mainstem Entiat River: reaches 2-9 (Slackwater to Potato Moraine, 14.6 river-miles) and 10-11 (Potato Moraine to Preston Creek 7 river-miles).

Project Description/Purpose:
The project treatments for the Entiat Habitat Improvements project envisions the placement of approximately 5 cross vanes in the lower Entiat River reaches 2-9, and the installation of approximately 5 log retention structures in the upper middle Entiat. The cross vane installation in the lower Entiat is intended to increase the amount of pool habitat, increase large woody debris (LWD) loading, reduce channel confinement, and restore a measure of riparian function. The log structures in the upper middle Entiat is intended to increase LWD density, backwater pools, high flow refuge habitat and tail out habitat and habitat diversity. These measures are consistent with the Entiat WRIA 46 Management Plan diagnoses for Entiat spring and late-run Chinook.
