The project site is located in the lower Entiat River.
Project
Description/Purpose:
Habitat quantity and
diversity in the lower Entiat River has been substantially diminished by
channelization and other historic flood control projects . A geomorphic
assessment of the river conducted in 1998 outlined that active instream
restoration actions were appropriate for the lower river, but did not
include site-specific engineering designs. This project will provide
site-specific engineering design and cost estimates for 5 in-channel
rock cross vanes or other appropriate structures in the lower mainstem
Entiat River and lay-out stewardship plans for associated riparian
plantings.
